Belgian top-fermented reddish-brown ale, a blend of 8 and 18 months old beers following the careful maturation in oak casks.

Inspired by our love for the tangy and bold passion fruit of Hawaii, Island Rascal combines the lusciousness of a Belgian-Style Wheat Ale with the juiciness and electric tingle of passion fruit. This golden explosion of fruity goodness is the perfect companion to breakfast, the beach, and of course BBQs!

Colour and sight: Dark brown-red. A compact white-yellow, stable and lacing head. Scent: Touches of caramel, mocha and chocolate. Spices such as liquorice and coriander are also present. Flavour: Initially, a very good mouthfeel of alcohol and softness. This is followed by an increasing bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and sweet.

Based loosely on the Smokestack Series’ The Sixth Glass, this abbey-style quadrupel is separated into a number of oak bourbon barrels where it ages for varying lengths of time, some for up to three years. Cherries are added to make up for the “angel’s share” of beer lost during barrel aging. Selected barrels are then blended for optimum flavor. The resulting beer retains only very subtle cherry characteristics, with toffee and vanilla notes coming to the fore.

This golden ale carries notes of passion fruit and honey in the aroma. A suggestion of biscuit is found in the beer's varied palate. Brewed with our 2-row barley blend, hopped with Nugget and Hallertau, then fermented on our house yeast, Tripel offers up a complex, yet dry finish.

The Chimay Red Cap, or Premiere, in 750 ml bottles, is the oldest of the Chimays. This Trappist beer possesses a beautiful coppery colour that makes it particularly attractive. Topped with a creamy head, it gives off a slight fruity apricot smell from the fermentation. The aroma felt in the mouth is a balance confirming the fruit nuances revealed to the sense of smell. This traditional Belgian beer is best savoured at cellar temperature. ABV 7.0

Three Philosophers is a remarkable Belgian-Style Quadruple Ale. Deeply layered toffee and caramel malts are buoyed by a serendipitous touch of cherry, with a pleasantly dry, carbonated finish. A true classic. Perfect for contemplating life's deep mysteries.

Inspired by the Trappist brewers of Belgium, a Quadrupel is a modern Belgian-style ale of greater strength compared to its Dubble and Tripel sister styles. Typically a darker brew, Quads are full-bodied with a rich and malty core. As with all Belgian beers, the yeast is what really sets this style apart, adding a fruity and spicy edge. The Reverend was created as a tribute to the life of our friend's late grandfather, an ordained Episcopal Reverend. True to his spirit and character, this beer is strong-willed, assertive, and pure of heart.

The St. Bernardus Abt 12 is the pride of our stable, this Abbey ale is brewed in the classic 'Quadrupel' style of Belgium's best Abbey Ales. Dark with a full, ivory-colored head. It has a fruity aroma, full of complex flavours and excels because of its long bittersweet finish with a hoppy bite. (10,0% ABV) Worldwide seen as one of the best beers in the world. It's a very balanced beer, with a full-bodied taste and a perfect equilibrium between malty, bitter and sweet. One of the original recipes from the days of license-brewing for the Trappist monks of Westvleteren.

NOLA Blonde Ale was the very first ale created by the NOLA Brewing team. Originally released in March 2009 this is our most popular and widely distributed beer. NOLA Blonde is a medium-bodied traditional American blonde ale, golden in color with floral and citrus hop aromas.

For this recipe, our brewers drew inspiration from Belgian Golden Strong Ale, a style we love. We sought out the very best ingredients, sourcing wild honey from the African Bronze Honey Company, a member of the Fair Trade Federation and a certified B-Corp. The Seville orange peel is freshly ground. In the end, we created a big, sweet and citrusy Belgian-style Tripel with thoughtfully sourced ingredients.

La Fin Du Monde is a premium beer with a surprising finesse. Like Trappist triple ales, La Fin du Monde is brewed and refermented in the bottle—a first in the American market at the time of launch. To date, it is the most awarded Canadian beer and has been honoured at several top international competitions. True to tradition, Unibroue brewed this beer in honour of the French explorers who, when they discovered North America, believed they had reached "the end of the world.” Nose: Floral bouquet, fresh baguette, with aromas of honey, spices, coriander, malt and alcohol. Flavor: Mildly hoppy palate with notes of grains, fruit and spice, followed by a smooth, dry finish. A perfect balance of sugar, acidity, bitterness, spices and alcohol.

The Chimay Blue Cap, "baptized' "Grande Reserve" in 750 ml bottles is a dark Trappist beer with a powerful aroma, the complex flavour of which improves across the years. It was first brewed as a Christmas beer, explaining the presence of a "vintage". This authentic Belgian beer, whose tinge of fresh yeast is associated with a light rosy flowery touch, is particularly pleasant. Its aroma, perceived as one enjoys it, only accents the delightful sensations revealed by the odour, all revealing a light but agreeable caramelized note.
