Avery The Reverend from $7.99

Inspired by the Trappist brewers of Belgium, a Quadrupel is a modern Belgian-style ale of greater strength compared to its Dubble and Tripel sister styles. Typically a darker brew, Quads are full-bodied with a rich and malty core. As with all Belgian beers, the yeast is what really sets this style apart, adding a fruity and spicy edge. The Reverend was created as a tribute to the life of our friend's late grandfather, an ordained Episcopal Reverend. True to his spirit and character, this beer is strong-willed, assertive, and pure of heart.

Boulevard Bourbon Barrel Quad from $5.15

Based loosely on the Smokestack Series’ The Sixth Glass, this abbey-style quadrupel is separated into a number of oak bourbon barrels where it ages for varying lengths of time, some for up to three years. Cherries are added to make up for the “angel’s share” of beer lost during barrel aging. Selected barrels are then blended for optimum flavor. The resulting beer retains only very subtle cherry characteristics, with toffee and vanilla notes coming to the fore.

Our distinctly American twist on a classic Belgian-style farmhouse ale takes its name from the notoriously unpredictable fermenter, where this signature beer's perfect combination of ingredients first came to life. You could call it fate. Our brewers called it Tank 7. The Chimay Blue Cap, "baptized' "Grande Reserve" in 750 ml bottles is a dark Trappist beer with a powerful aroma, the complex flavour of which improves across the years. It was first brewed as a Christmas beer, explaining the presence of a "vintage". Colour and sight: Dark brown-red. A compact white-yellow, stable and lacing head. Scent: Touches of caramel, mocha and chocolate. Spices such as liquorice and coriander are also present. Flavour: Initially, a very good mouthfeel of alcohol and softness. This is followed by an increasing bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and sweet.

The Seville orange peel is freshly ground. In the end, we created a big, sweet and citrusy Belgian-style Tripel with thoughtfully sourced ingredients.
